Can't Let You Love Me

[Kasey Martins]

The past three months of Kasey Martins' life had been spent on the Palliative Care ward of Mercy General Hospital. Patients only go to the Palliative Care ward if they are suffering from a terminal illness. Kasey had an inoperable frontal lobe tumor, the doctors had only given her a few more months. She'd been getting weaker and was currently battling a very nasty flu bug, the experimental chemo making her immune system weaker that her naturally weak one had already been. She hadn't had a visitor in months. Her doctor, Dr. Rossi, had told her that a student was going to start helping her monitor her condition. Dr. Rossi had not told this student of Kasey's terminal condition. She sighed and closed her eyes, wondering when they would show up.

Jordan sighed as he hurried to the room, he couldn't believe he was late "Hi." he said as he got to the room.

Kasey looked up and gave a weak smile. Damn, and this guys gonna be a doctor? That's one hot doctor. Kasey thought, scanning him up and down with her bright green eyes.

Jordan blushed slightly as he noticed her looking at him "Sorry i was late."

[Kasey Martins]

"S'okay," Kasey said. "Not like I can go anywhere."

Jordan nodded and asked "So how are you feeling?"

[Kasey Martins]

Kasey mentally rolled her eyes. Does he have to be such a..........such a.....doctor? she thought She turned onto her side with a groan so she was facing Jordan. She found it easier to talk to them when she was looking at them. "Like hell," Kasey answered simply, clearing her throat when the mucus began to drain again, causing the swollen, painful area to protest this action.

Jordan nodded and took notes, he was feeling a little nervous.

Kasey coughed hard, clearing her throat again before she spoke. "So you're the med student Dr. Rossi was telling me about huh?"

Jordan nodded "Yeah." he said.

[Kasey Martins]

"You know her or something?" Kasey asked

[Jordan Catalano]

"She's my half sister." Jordan answered.

[Kasey Martins]

Kasey nodded, coughing again.

Jordan reached for a thermometer and asked "Well you please open up for me?"

[Kasey Martins]

Again, Kasey mentally rolled her eyes. There he goes again, being the doctor She decided she wasn't doing to do this the easy way, she wanted to toy with him a bit. She crossed her arms over her chest. "And what if I don't want to?" Kasey asked.

Jordan bit his lip not sure what to do "Ummmmm please i don't want to get into touble." he said softly.

Kasey chuckled. "You're cute when you're nervous," Kasey said before she opened her mouth.

Jordan blushed and put the thermometer in her mouth.

Kasey smiled as well as she could with the thermometer in her mouth and waited for the beep.

When the thermometer beep Jordan gently took it out of her mouth and wrote down the readings.

Kasey coughed again. "Y'know I don't even know your name."

[Jordan Catalano]

Jordan blushed "Oh i'm sorry I'm Jordan Catalano."

[Kasey Martins]

Kasey smiled. "Kasey Martins," she replied. "But I'm sure you know that from your fancy little file there, doc" she smirked.

Jordan blushed and reached for a stick and his light.

[Kasey Martins]

Kasey watched him. Taking in his every move. It was nice to have someone her age around. Especially someone as hot as Jordan.
