Emilia nodded. This was good for them, if this was yet another strep case they could take care of it early. She grabbed her tongue depressor and penlight next. "Okay Jacob, if you could just open wide and stick your tongue out for me," Emilia said. "Say ahhhh."

Emilia sighed. Here we go again she thought when she noticed the tale-tale signs. Rather than waiting and forcing Jacob to open his mouth a zillion more times, she pulled the swab from her pocket to run the culture. "This may be slightly uncomfortable," she said.

Amina groaned softly as she rolled over in her bed. Her mother had left for work a few hours before when her older sister left for school. Amina hadn't been feeling well for a few days, but she'd kept it from her father. Now she really wasn't feeling well.
